We have a new video from the Ziggy Stardust Remixed album to show to all of you guys, Stardust Kids by A Plus D - David Bowie vs MGMT.

This one took a while to do but I think the end result was so worth it. We worked directly with A Plus D on this video as well as Jon Salmon the director of the viral “Kids” fan music video. All these people coming together to create a wonderful tribute, it’s a beautiful thing.

I was asked to do a music video for the track Ziggy’s Lullabye and if you hit up the page the facebook embed should be there, we are currently having some troubles with YouTube. The reception has been so good that I will now be making a second video from the album so it should be up in the near future.

So the fine people at ROFLcon invited me out to their little mini event ROFLthing in NYC yesterday and it was an absolute blast. I am really underestimating the impact Lazy Town is having on people, I mean I autographed business cards for people it was that awesome! Even got interviewed for a German news type thing about the internet.

Now one common question I kept getting asked while I was there was about the whole Lazy Town YouTube fiasco. I keep getting asked this also in comments and messages on YouTube as well. I just want to take a moment and clarify a few things. Yes, the video is back up, and to celebrate here is some cake.

Now if any of you are familiar with YouTube policies and the Digital Millennium Copyright Act then you should know about time limitations of legal actions and blah blah blah. However, this is not the end of the story because it is still going on. So, in order to satisfy some of the public curiosity at the moment I’ll be making another machinima similar to the one I posted while the video was down sometime in the near future depending on boredom and work load, if any. I won’t be able to answer every question but it should be enough to satisfy most viewers and maybe even teach you a few things.

I’ve been asked by one of our premiere contributors Paul Anthony to help out with a little something. A few weeks ago he asked me if I wanted to get together and play some Rock Band, as in all of Rock Band. Thus the idea of The Rock-A-Thon was born.

So on Black Friday this year we are gunna find a place in Boston and play every song Rock Band has to offer, all for charity. It is a long way off but when the date gets closer we will release more information so stay tuned.

We got a new music video coming down the pipe! If you tune in to The Colbert Report, last week on the show Colbert stated he would be very angry if someone remixed his interview with Lawrence Lessig. An interview regarding copyrights and remixing, something very relevant to our interests here. Being the upstanding citizens we are who hope for copyright law reform, we took the “challenge".

We have been holding on to this one for too long now not to make it public.

This is the full 10 minute pilot/homage of The Game Center. After realizing that the crew behind Game Center CX is actively trying to bring the show to America we decided to stop pursuing this project but I think it still serves as a solid tribute to the show. Now only if all Lets Play! videos could be like this.

Following Cooking by the Book things sure got messy.

We got a takedown notice, I got contacted by tons of people willing to help out, the engineer from TF2 had a few things to say about it. For the most part things look like they are gunna be alright. Again, things are still a little unstable for me to spill all of the beans but big things are seen on the horizon.

Right now I am beginning to back catalog some videos and centralizing everything on my YouTube page accessible by clicking here or on the videos link at the top of the page.

As things go up I’ll make a few mini posts but for now just sit tight and watch the news!

So it’s been a while without much new stuff. Well this one is a doozy. A few months ago I did a little music video mashup for a a friend of mine. The other day it totally went viral so here it is, “Cooking by the Book” A Lil’ Bigger Mix by Mastgrr. Be warned, not for children.

DPad spent some time cruising the anime convention circuit and paid a visit to Connecticon and Otakon these past two weeks.

Connecticon was a good time and we went and filmed the Battle of the Rock Bands competition. You can see the footage over at our video page and while you are there you might notice a strange player that doesn’t belong to YouTube. We here at DPad have decided to start posting our game related videos on the Funny Or Die network over at Pwn Or Die. It is a great up and coming video site, the quality of the videos are excellent, and we are glad to be a part of it.

Over at Otakon we had our first and only screening of The Game Center and it opened with great fanfare. We also decided to do a repeat of the song and dance we did at Anime Boston and participated in the anime music video contest, and this time we qualified! We made Kaneda’s Big Adventure for the trailer/parody category but due to “legal issues” the entire category was taken off the program from Saturday on. To make sure everyone gets the chance to see it we put it up on YouTube and hope everyone enjoys it.
